Musings of a Book Addict

I'm married to a scavenger of sorts and he often totes home rescued boxes of books that I paw through with shiny, hungry eyes. I pull out the odd and interesting and add them to my teetering stack.

Monster - A. Lee Martinez What a treat! I had never heard of this author, but the book fell into my hands through a good scavenge. The cover looked promising and it really delivered! As many others have said, I devoured this book in about two days. All the different "cryptobiological" creatures were so fantastic. The only reason I don't give this five stars is that the two main characters seemed to be lacking a bit, personality-wise, but the story more than makes up for that. If you are in to magic in the urban world with a huge dose of monsters, this is a must-read for you!
