Musings of a Book Addict

I'm married to a scavenger of sorts and he often totes home rescued boxes of books that I paw through with shiny, hungry eyes. I pull out the odd and interesting and add them to my teetering stack.

The Book of Genesis Illustrated by R. Crumb

The Book of Genesis - Robert Crumb An epic undertaking, to be sure. I just couldn't help wishing he had chosen a different text - like James Joyce's Ulysses (which admittedly in comic form, would probably be 200,000 pages long!). Genesis is such a rough part of the New Testament - God is a fierce and violent God, to say the least. Seeing it all in Crumb's dark and amazing drawing style makes it that much more intense. Hat's off to you, Mr. Crumb.
